Our Values

At Morgan & Westfield, we’re passionate about our culture and work environment. As an employer, our strategy is simple: Attract the right people, invest in their long-term education, and retain them as long as possible. We have chosen values that make a real difference in people’s lives. By living our three main values, we have built a happy, stable workplace where people have meaningful relationships and are passionate about their roles. Our values are reinforced using the specific tools, processes, and behaviors listed below.

“People who feel good about themselves at work produce good results.”

Kenneth H. Blanchard

1) Learning: Our #1 value is learning. Learning enables our people to have autonomy, freedom, stability, and flexibility within their roles. We reinforce this value by:

  • Offering our team paid learning time — up to 10% of their total time spent working (ask us for details during your interview)
  • Giving all full-time workers access to our Amazon Kindle and Audible library of books
  • Reinforcing what we learn while discussing projects as a team
  • Attacking problems by addressing any gaps in knowledge, as opposed to simply “working harder.”

2) Simplicity (Focused, Essential, Streamlined, Organized, Minimalistic): Simplifying our business requires discipline, patience, and strength. It requires sifting through the fluff and tackling root issues head-on. We focus on results, not being busy. We live this value by:

  • Considering the simplest option first. If this doesn’t work, we try a more complex solution.
  • Keeping all services and processes as straightforward as possible so they are highly scalable and easy to execute consistently.
  • Using our communication tools with discipline and clear objectives. We minimize distractions by holding non-urgent matters for meetings and sending internal messages only if urgent so that each team member can maintain focus.

3) Openness (Communication, Fairness, Feedback, Honesty, Humility, Transparency, Trust): Sharing feelings builds trust. This mutual trust supports understanding and strong working relationships. We live this value by:

  • Giving supportive, open, honest feedback both formally and in the moment to help you learn and grow
  • Reading books on effective communication, listening and giving feedback, and discussing as a team
  • Encouraging our people to provide our leadership with frank, honest feedback
