Business Summary

A selling document that is compiled by a business broker, M&A advisor or investment banker to generate interest from prospective buyers.

A business summary is typically 20-50 pages in length and includes information on investment highlights, sales and marketing, financials, operations, improvement potential, training period, transition period and more. The memorandum is released to buyers only after they sign a non-disclosure agreement, whereas a teaser profile is released to buyers before they sign a non-disclosure agreement.
