Mergers & Acquisitions
About Us: Team
Morgan & Westfield is a leading M&A firm specializing in business sales, mergers, acquisitions, and valuations for privately owned businesses. Here are some of the people who make it happen.
Jacob Orosz is President of Morgan & Westfield, author of numerous articles and books, including The Art of the Exit, A Beginner’s Guide to Business Valuation, The Exit Strategy Handbook, Closing the Deal, Acquired, and host of the M&A Talk podcast series. He has over 20 years of experience facilitating mergers, acquisitions, sales, and other business transfers with transaction values up to $75 million. Jacob has successfully participated in or managed the sale of over 300 privately held companies representing both buyers and sellers.
Jacob has represented clients in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, and Asia. He founded Morgan & Westfield in 2008 and is actively involved in both Main Street and middle-market transactions, assisting domestic and international clients with business sales, mergers, acquisitions, valuations, and exit planning. Jacob focuses on sell-side services and is the leader in many middle-market transactions.
Emery has been working with his son Jacob and the Morgan & Westfield team for 10 years, sharing his expertise in running and managing small and mid-sized companies. He has extensive industry experience, from managerial positions supervising up to 1200 people, to working with nationwide franchisors, to owning and operating two businesses of his own. He brings this range of knowledge about the small and mid-size business market into each conversation he has with potential buyers and sellers. When he is not working with Jacob, Emery enjoys spending time with his wife and family.
Bob began his career as a reporter for The Wall Street Journal, covering the rough-and-tumble world of commodities trading from the Journal’s Chicago bureau. His later career included editorial and management positions at the former Knight-Ridder, where he played a key role in training international journalists and developing a real-time financial news and information service geared to brokers and stock market traders. More recently, Bob served as Managing Editor for investment publishers in Washington DC and Austin, Texas.
Bob feels fortunate to have worked in the information industry both pre- and post-internet. His early stories for The Wall Street Journal were written on a typewriter, and his later work involved using technology to instantly transmit news alerts around the world with the push of a button.
A native of Wisconsin, Bob remains a loyal fan of the Green Bay Packers. Since 2011, Bob has lived in California with his wife Pam, a nursing administrator.
With a BFA in Stage Management and an MBA in International Business, Pamela’s career is varied, including twenty years in professional theatre, managing sales in the Pacific Northwest for a publishing company, and working as a technical recruiter for Microsoft. Through it all is her love of learning and writing, which she has regularly used as a copy editor with Morgan & Westfield since 2017.
