Alain Barbet

Alain Barbet is presently the , an advisory and investment firm he founded in 2009. Hugo Ventures partners with new and existing companies to provide strategic guidance and access to capital resources. He serves as an advisor, investor, and board member with several established and formative-stage companies.

Alain was a Senior Vice President at Fiserv between 2013 and late 2022 when he retired from the company. Before that, Alain’s career spanned 15 years in leadership roles in the Beverage industry, first with Pernod-Ricard, then with the Spirits Division of Palm Bay International, and then with Berentzen Gmbh.

Alain is a dual citizen of France and the United States and holds an MSc in Management from Essec business school in Paris. He is also a Columbia Business School alumnus.

In 2011, Mr. Barbet was awarded the title of Chevalier (Knight) in the Ordre National du Mérite, a national order under the oversight of the French Legion of Honor, given by the President of France to individuals having served the country through outstanding civil or military achievements.
